Zebra has over 8,200 employees and operates in more than 100 countries. Their new facility in Bagmane Solarium City, Hobli in Bangalore has G+3 floors which comprises the below mentioned areas:

The consultant had designed the AV solution wonderfully by keeping in mind the clients use-cases and their global standards.


What did the client want to achieve?

The client wanted to achieve the following:
•To enhance communication and collaboration among employees, customers, and partners across different locations and time zones.
•To create a modern and professional image of the company that reflects its vision, values, and culture.
•To improve the efficiency and effectiveness of meetings, presentations, training sessions, and other corporate events.
•To leverage the latest AV technology to deliver high-quality audio and video content that engages and informs the audience.
•To optimize the use of space and resources by integrating AV solutions with their IT infrastructure and network.
To achieve these goals we used:
•Video conferencing systems that enable face-to-face interaction and real-time collaboration with remote participants.
•Wireless presentation tools that allow seamless sharing of content from any device without the hassle of cables or adapters
•Interactive displays that facilitate interactive learning and development for employees.
•4K Displays for brilliant viewability of presentations and far end videos.
•Projectors for cafeteria and training rooms.
•Seamless switching.
•Right balance between AV switching and AV over IP.


Scope of work your company was involved in

Our scope of work involved procuring the AV equipments from various countries, providing the right logistical solutions including consolidating the shipments and ensuring the deliveries precisely at the time and stage of the project when the AV equipments were needed so that the project could be completed in time and professionally.
Our scope included CAD drawings, project co-ordination, vendor management.
Installing the AV equipments according to the design document and following the best practices and standards of the industry.
Programming and configuring the AV systems to ensure its functionality, performance and usability.
Testing the AV system verifying that it meets the design specifications and the client’s expectations.
Training the client and end users on how to operate and maintain the AV system.
Commissioning the AV system to the client and providing the documentation, warranty, and support services.

What key challenges were faced?

With the convergence of IT and AV we had to deal with integration of AV systems with IT networks, which required us to have more IT skills and knowledge, to comply with IT security and standards.

The supply chain disruption: We had to cope with the shortage and delay of AV equipment and materials due to the global supply chain crisis, which affects the project delivery, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Integrating AV solutions from various OEMs can lead to compatibility issues. Different devices and systems may not work seamlessly together, resulting in technical glitches.


How were those challenges resolved?

By Investing in training and certification, as well as recruiting and retaining qualified and experienced talent, we ensured we had the skills and knowledge to handle this project.Our pre-procurement strategy effectively addressed one of the primary challenges faced by us in this project that was meeting delivery timelines. This facilitated the seamless operation of the project and also eradicated unnecessary waiting periods. We ensured the right logistical solutions including consolidating the shipments and ensuring the deliveries precisely at the time and stage of the project when the AV equipments were needed. Integrating AV solutions from various OEMs can lead to compatibility issues. Different devices and systems may not work seamlessly together, resulting in technical glitches. This challenge was effectively addressed by AVID’s meticulous attention to detail we have developed through our extensive project experience.AVID’s experience in the AV industry played a crucial role in achieving the project’s objectives of seamlessly integrating AV solutions into various spaces.


How has your work helped the client?

Our long-term relationships with our suppliers and vendors, and managing their inventory and logistics efficiently, to mitigate the impact of supply chain disruption has helped the client. We were very profressional in managing this project. Our PM and APM ensured good clear communication between all the stakeholders and this helped with minimal dependences at site. Our CAD team prepared the necessary drawings which helped the install in line with the design intent. Our proramming team had worked on the desired GUI and program well before time and was in sync with the respected stakeholders for the same. We had anticipated the risks involved well in advance which helped us mitigate the same. Overall, AVID’s experience in the AV industry played a crucial role in achieving the project’s objectives of seamlessly integrating AV solutions into various spaces. AVID’S knowledge and expertise likely contributed to a successful project outcome, providing the organization with the desired benefits of improved communication, collaboration, efficiency, and user experience.


What are you most proud of in relation to the project?

At the outset, being technically chosen as T1 and being L1 by giving the best prices among stringent competition was a very proud moment for us to start. Given the challenges that were confronted with, tight project timelines and supply chain challenges and the manner in which we came through successfully installed greater confidence with the PMC and the client. The PMC in the project Jll had immense confidence in our team as we had completed many award-winning successful projects in the previous years with them. During the project and post-handover when they said that we have maintained our professional work ethics and standards to successfully complete this project definitely further strengthened our relationship and surely this also was a proud moment for us. During the inauguration the client had appreciated our team’s efforts and contribution in the success of this project in front of a huge gathering, this again was a super proud moment for Team AVID.
